The origins of Gelatto can be found way back in 3000 B.C. when many Asian cultures discover the roots of sorbet in the form of crushed ice and flavoring. Then about 500 years later, the Egyptians did the same practice when Pharaohs offered visitors a cup of ice mixed with fruit juices.
