Procrastination is something which we all wants to overcome but still are not able to deal with it so as a motivation this day is for them

Annually September 6 is celebrated as Fight Procrastination Day. It is an opportunity for all of us to face our procrastination issues.  We have all been victims of that powerful urge to push an important task to a further date and to always delay it. 

And it looks like it is part of human nature only to always delays our works by always saying like I will do it tomorrow, next day, that day or at any other particular date. 

This procrastination is something which we all have experienced and till now we must have well aware that how big problems procrastination can lead to and thus it creates very troubling situations for us.

Fight Procrastination Day History: 

Hesiod, a Greek poet in around 700 B.C., was among the first person to speak against procrastination. In the poem titled “Works and Days,” Hesiod speaks to his brother who has mismanaged his inheritance and thus he asks him not to abandon his duties and complete them timely. 

Throughout the times, people have tried creative approaches to fight procrastination to varying degrees of success. The winning formula seems to different from person to person. So you need to figure it out yourself that what works for you. Take famous artist, Victor Hugo as an example, who resorted to working naked in his room to focus on his work and yeah people have used many unusual tactics to deal with it and have found mild success too. 

In the modern times Samuel Johnson describes procrastination as a prevalent general weakness that persists despite the efforts of reason in 1751. But the first analysis on procrastination was written by Milgram only in 1992. Then Van Eerde conducts a meta-analysis on procrastination in 2003. 

Fight Procrastination Day Significance: 

Just remember when we were in school our teachers used to give us many homework and projects that were need to be submitted after a long time but we spends all of out initial days in spending and infact many times we realize that we have to homework on the last one day left only. And that time we works with very much stress and tension to get it completed and maybe even if we were able to complete it, it wasn't on point and definitely not our best. 

By giving you this example we are trying to tell you the importance of fighting procrastination as in childhood and our school times it was still ok but now as elder when we do jobs and other works this bad habit of us can cause very serious implications and hence must not be taken lightly. 

We know that it is very hard to get rid of this old habit and that's why it is regarded as the Fight Procrastination Day in which this day motivates people to atleast start by showing their spirit to fight against this bad habit whether it will succeed or not it depends on future but not even trying it will be regrettable.
