World Breastfeeding Week 2022 History:
The World Breastfeeding Week has been celebrated since 1992. It was established by the joint efforts of the World Health Organization(WHO), UNICEF and the World Aliiance for Breastfeeding Action(WABA).
The main behind the establishment of this day as said earlier that it was because to promote breastfeeding as it was seen that in modern times mothers and womens have declined to do breastfeeding to their children. And we knows that breastfeeding at an early age by the babies is very important for their mental and physical health.
In 2016, the week aligned it's mission with the Sudtainable Development Goals which are set up by the United Nations to be accomplished by the year of 2030. And thus it started promoting and encouraging breastfeeding even more strongly through various strategies like marketing and campaigning.
Even if we look at human history breastfeeding was always considered as a good virtue as feeding of child by his/her mother was always thought as a good deed and it is right?, I mean feeding anyone is a good thing at all times and feeding a baby is always special.
