Let me introduce it to the freshers, Star Wars is one of the best and popular science fiction space opera franchises and a pop culture. Which was intially began with the movie Star Wars: A New Hope, the series is now a large expanded universe awaiting for the new adventures and space wars.

Star Wars Day 2022: History 

The Star Wars Day was first originated with a catchphrase  "May the Force be with you." Since Disney had purchased Lucasfilm, including the rights to Star Wars, in late 2012, the unofficial celebration of Star Wars Day became so popular that it was soon celebrated all over the world. In 2013, Disney finally celebrated the day by observing several events at Disney and Walt Disney World, since Disney had purchased Lucasfilm, including the rights to Star Wars, in late 2012.

The phrase was originally used by Margaret Thatcher, the longest-serving Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, on May 4, 1979, when she was elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and her party thanked her by stating "May the Fourth Be with You, Maggie. Congratulations." 

When Jeanne Cavelos used the phrase on page 94 of her 1999 book The Science of Star Wars, it became popular and later became a social treand. Soon after, the popular culture of Star Wars evolved into a National Event, with hundreds of people coming together to shape the event, which included many functions such as a costume contest, trivia game, and so on. Since the 2011 event, the day has been observed on an annual basis on May 4th and was officially recognized by Disney after two years. 

At the moment, the pop culture start war is at its peak, with millions of Star Wars merchandise sold each year, ranging from a simple shirt or toy to the most bizarre games.
